Summary: how do I?

I used copy II HD to load into the HD some protected software.
For various reasons, I now want to get rid of one of the programs.
When dragging the icon to the trash, I get a message telling me that
that application can't be moved.  Is there any way of getting rid of
it short of re-initializing the disk? (!!)
