Particularly if an unmentioned part of your scenario is that you just took the Mac out of it's carry-case. You deactivate the stuck because after being pressed , on rebound the actuator pulls out far enough. I just had my old 128 upg'd to a Mac+. And now the programmer switches stick just as I'm describing to you. I haven't figured out yet (really, no time, if can get it to work) just what is misaligned, which looks hard to do from how it's designed. But looking at it in the light shows actuator blades way off-center in the slot, so rub on one side. Hope this is your problem.
