I have a NEC 2420/30 which the AutoLOG DA talks to (in Macterminal or Versaterm) just fine. The problem occurs when I try to use MacTerminal's own Phone menu to dial -- it says "no modem attached". Qdial also refuses to work with the NEC modem but works fine with the apple1200 modem. I'm using a purchased cable so I haven't provided the specifics on that. Any suggestions as to dipswitch or other changes which might help would be appreciated. It should be noted that one person at NEC support advised me that I should just set the forced TR dipswitch. That doesn't do it. -- Robert Cohen San Ramon, California (Where's that? Like, on the way to LA, ya' know!) {ihnp4,lll-crg,qantel,pyramid}!ptsfa!rhc
