In addition it is encouraging instructors to increase their use of the computer as a teaching tool. They believe, "As the sharing of software throughout the academic community spirals, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy expects this trend to enhance its entire educational program." In the area of general engineering, for example, Seymour Cray of Cray Research is using the Macintosh as a tool as he designs the next generation of Cray Supercomputers. In addition, a number of engineers are using the Macintosh as a design tool. This use can only increase with the introduction of the Macintosh II, which is a very powerful engineering workstation.....I had seen it during development, but when it was introduced its power still blew me away! -- Jordan Mattson UUCP: ucbvax!mtxinu!apple!jordan Apple Computer, Inc.
