 There have been many requests for directions on how to create a custom icon
for an application. I have posted to comp.sources.mac, and hopefully to 
mod.mac.binaries, a MacWrite 4.5 file (in BinHex 4.0 format) which describes 
in a detailed recipe fashion how to do this. I have sent this document to 
a "whole bunch of people", and they claim the method works well for them. 

"Creating Custom Icons for Macintosh Applications: A Recipe" may be distributed
freely, though not in any commercial way. Suggestions, constructive criticism, 
etc welcome.
