We have (had) a large number of HyperDrives here, and we enjoyed (!!) about a 60% failure rate. These are the old HyperDrives (1.0 hardware) on regular 512K Macs. However, when we installed fans on the HII%Y+machines all of the problems went away. Right now, I have a HyperDrive (2.0 hardware) ond with a Fanny Mac fan, and it works *perfectly*. No Problems. --Rich Richard Siegel NASA/Langley Research Center Materials Characterization Instrumentation Section Hampton Virginia 23665
