Our Engineer Brigade has a large number of WANG PCs. Some have IBM Emulation Cards/Software, but we have only recently tried to use them. *NOW* we know that with the Emulation Software (V 2.11), you apparently need to have a copy of PCDOS to get any use out of it. Does anybody out there have any experience in using the WANG as an IBM Clone ? Can someone recommend a vendor for PCDOS (if we do in fact need it) ? Also, we wish (don't laugh) to network these anti-social animals, possibly through a DEC PDP11/24 Mini. VT100 emulation works flawlessly with our RSX 11M operating system, but all real info transfer depends on KERMIT-11-- dependable but somewhat cumbersome. Any ideas out there ? Gramm-Rudmann aside, we really are into trying to save those tax dollars, so please don't suggest a mass scrapping.... Please reply to 20s1-s4@braggvax.arpa. Thanks for your time-- --Dave Wegener
