The SG-10 has been replaced with a newer model (NX-10 ?). I've heard that this newer model had a better character set and was a little faster. However, I sold my STAR and bought a OKIDATA Microline 192 plus. The 192 plus has a much better character set (both standard and NLQ). It is also faster than the STAR printer (draft mode is 200cpi). I think the Microline is normally more expensive than the STAR but I was able to get a good deal. The 192 plus is compatible with both the IBM Graphics Printer (Epson-compatible) and the IBM Pro-writer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jim Champeaux jvc@mirror.TMC.COM {mit-eddie, ihnp4, wjh12, cca, cbosgd, seismo}!mirror!jvc Mirror Systems, 2067 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02140 Telephone: (617) 661-0777
