However, there is one thing that the macros do not have that I would like to implement. What I like is the capability to set a string to a specific value only until the next page break, whether that is encountered by a .bp or by tripping the footer. I want to use this string in my footers, and after the next page starts reset this string to either its previous value or null. My troff fluence is not quite up to this point.
