To my surprise I could read it. This is in contrast to Microsoft Word, in which the file completely unreadable. So what? you ask. Well, this means: 1) It should be easy to manually convert a file to Manuscript 2) Using SED/LEX/YACC it may be possible to automatically convert Manuscript files, to TeX or Troff. As a sample of what these files look like, here is this note in Manuscript format.
