The X server bombs, and there appears to be a CPU-intensive process left behind which interferes with subsequent keyboard input. The machine has to be rebooted to recover. The output of the "sum" command run on hisymbol.onx is 23410 2 If our font file is garbaged, it will probably have a different checksum from the distribution.
