Message-ID: <870205134705.167953@MIT-MULTICS.ARPA> Date: Thu, 5-Feb-87 08:47:00 EST Article-I.D.: MIT-MULT.870205134705.167953 Posted: Thu Feb 5 08:47:00 1987 Date-Received: Sat, 7-Feb-87 14:46:44 EST Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: The ARPA Internet Lines: 20 Approved: info-vax@sri-kl.arpa Another department of our firm is moving an existing application using Megadata intelligent terminals from a VAX-11/750 to an 8000 series VAX. The Megadatas only use 8-bit even parity. Now allegedly the conversion cannot take place because a bug in the interface to the BI bus will not allow it to function with 8-bit even parity. My questions are: 1. Has anyone else experienced this problem? 2. Would there be a simple work around on the VAX end which is being ignored? Any suggestions would be appreciated. If additional knowledge of the situation is required I wil be happy to provide it. - Thank you in advance. - R. R. Brooks System Manager RFERL
