     I just read my echoed message about SPSSX, SAS and VMS.  There was
an error as I typed slower than I was thinking at the time.

     It should have read that the SPSSX installation procedure DOES NOT 
understand about VAXclusters.  This is where the poorly defined logical 
problem crops up.

     Sorry 'bout that.
