We have ( better say would like to have) our VAX systems connected to an 3081 using the IBM-Product DACU, which allows Network connections via ETHERNET using the TCP/IP protocols. May be other installations have the same Device. I write this in order give a serious waring. Our DACU broke about 15-April-86! and IBM has until now not been able to put it onto work again. So you better try other hardware combinations. On the other hand, I would be glad to hear from installations with working DACUs.
