Some messages have mentioned a program called VAXNET. One message suggested modifying VAXNET for the purpose of controlling access. According to the AAAREADME.TXT file from the DECUS86A tape, VAXNET version 11 contains routines to control access to the dialout modems via an user authorization file. VAXNET will also log the phone calls made. We use VAXNET everyday and have found it to be an excellent program. We have NOT tried the modem access code but will be doing so shortly. I will gladly mail the AAAREADME.TXt file to anyone who is interested. It's about 15K characters so I'll not post it. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Bob Paver (512) 338-3316 Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corp.
