By strange coincidence, a few hours after sending my message about jnet
earlier today, I received notice that a new mailing list has been started
at Bitnic, called JNET-L.  Anyone interested should send the following
message (by mail or interactively) to <LISTSERV@BITNIC.BITNET>:
 
subscribe jnet-l <your name>
 
Note that if you don't include a name, listserv will reject your request
(very politely, though).  It will pick up your mailing address from the
message or mail header.  If you send it by mail, this should not be the
subject line; it should be the entire text of the message.
