Peter Alfke Re. Peter Lee's XTC-on-BBC tape request: I'm also very interested. If either the taper (tapir?) or Mr. Lee could send me a copy I'd be eternally grateful. Re. someone's query about "Deutsch-Amerikanische Freundschaft": DAF were, as far as I know, a German post-Kraftwerk electronic-pop group. I haven't heard any of their stuff, but I know that one of the two people in the group put out a solo album in '83 or '84 which contained a song called "Darling Don't Leave Me" on which Annie Lennox sang and which thus got airplay. Good early-Eurythmics-like song. Incidentally, as I posted to net.music, both the Smiths and U2 should have new albums out next month. The Smiths one will be a double album with both new songs and hard-to-find b-sides and obscurities. Ho hum -- I've lost so much interest in the Smiths of late. The U2 album should be good, though, as Eno's producing again (hell, all U2 albums are good!). --Peter Alfke alfke@csvax.caltech.edu Support the power of women Use the power of man Support the flower of women Use the word FUCK The word is LOVE :::S.Y:::
