I am planning on doing a special on music from Manchester on KFJC, a Bay Area, CA college radio station. What I'm looking for is any information, stories, obscure bands, band geneology, etc. Bands that I have so far are, the obvious: New Order, Smiths, etc, some more obscure such as Crispy Ambulance, James... I plan on contacting Factory records as well. What other labels are there in Manchester? In case you're wondering, `why Manchester'? Well, I spent 6 years in that rainy city and I'm feeling nostalgic, so there. Anyway, I'd be grateful for any information.
