You might try upgrading to a newer version of news, but that is probably not your problem. (But, we have gone from 2.10.2 to 2.10.3 to 2.11.) For the answers to problems such as this, you should always check the news log file. When an article is junked, it tells you why. One reason might be that the posting date is too far in the past (EG, an article takes a month to get from host A to your host. This time limit is setable.). Look there and it should tell you what you want to know. -Fred-
