I also unsubscribed soc.singles for much the same reason.
P.s. do you have a name?

As you say, most of the traffic seems to be from Waterloo. (Since
I subscribed it's been about 5 for 6 counting this one, not really
a statistically significant sampling).

I am currently doing a MASc at UofT, but I did my undergrad at Waterloo.
How's the new bar (Fed hall)?
What about you other folks? Do undergrads at Waterloo normally have
access to an account with news, or are most of you grad students?

Somebody mentioned the possibility of organizing some net.road.trips, or
whatever, and this sounds great to me. Does anybody know (yet) what
the Concert on the Green will be this year (if any).

Other possible topics for discussion seem to include gratuitous grammar
flames, in a newsgroup that is presumably intended for informal
discussions.
