The device contains mounts for 4 AA-cells; the device exhausts these in too short a time. Seiko does not sell an external battery pack. Seiko sells an AC-driven power pack; however this is not useful away from power lines. A salesperson where he bought the TV claims, for reasons I haven't heard, that the device will not function with an external battery pack. True enough, when we tried it, it did not function with an external battery pack. (Yes, we believe we had the polarity correct.) Can/will anyone who has had dealings with this animated postage stamp .. explain why? .. suggest a fix. ( A Crafty Sendmail is a Joy to the Heart. )
