  A researcher here is designing an advanced IC packaging technology.
  He needs a 3 dimensional Poisson solver for capacitance calcualtions.  
  The requirments are:

  1.  Rectangular coordinate system (simple geometry)
  2.  Fast (e.g, fast direct)
  3.  Runs on Convex C-1, DEC 8600 (4.3BSD), or DEC MicrovaxII (Ultrix)
  4.  C or Fortran
  5.  public domain, low price, or substantial educational discount

  Does anyone out there know of such a beast?
