It is much easier to read (and somehow seems a better manual) than the version that you run off on a printer, even though the test and format is identical. I guess it is the nice binding. I liked the cover, which shows (I think) Stallman as a knight, riding a gnu, chasing a money grubbing software manufacturer. And I think that selling software is a fine idea! Fortunately, there were no sex jokes in the manual. You can get a box of six manuals for $60 dollars from the Free Software Foundation, 1000 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge MA, 02138. I bought three---they're great!
