I've given up trying to mail people the source code, and
have posted it to net.sources.  There are two versions
of the algorithm in the (single) posting, with cut marks
in between.

My apologies to all the people who asked me to mail directly
to them, I may still try, but probably won't try more than
one more time with any of them.
