I am new to this newsgroup and so my questions may sound/look dumb, but ... 1) What is the latest version of the X system (is it 11)? 2) How and from where can I get the source/binaries? 3) How hard would it be to make it run on SYS V.3.x - is it OS dependent? 4) Has anyone done or is doing a port of X to any VME system with SYS V? 5) Has anyone done the #4 above to a XYCOM mono-graphics board? Please, either mail directly to me at address below or post to comp.windows.x group as there might be other souls looking for same answers. Thanks. -- NAME: Michael Umansky (misha) E-MAIL: ucbvax!hplabs!nsc!misha WORK: National Semiconductor Corporation 1135 Kern Avenue Sunnyvale, CA 94086 (408) 721-8109 (work) (408) 735-0734 (work) HOME: 4331 Lincoln Way San Francisco, CA 94122 (415) 564-3921 (home)
