  Thanks to all who responded to my request for an up to date
C reference text (my installation will only supply K&R and
blank looks upon further questioning). EVERY response recommended
"C A Reference Manual" by Harbison and Steele. No other titles
were mentioned. I bought a copy. Its the greatest. Nothing I have
seen can touch it and it seems as if every one out there agrees
with me. Now if I can only get MITRE to buy it.....
