I only used these groups because I'm sure the most knowledgeable persons read these groups and I'd appreciate any insight. If you are not interested, just hit "n" or "k" and send flames to circular file. [-) I have recently gotten MS-DOS 3.2 for my computer and installed it after first backing up everything on my 20MB hard disk. The method I chose for installing it was to format the hard disk via DOS 3.2's format command. When I restored everything back to my hard disk, everything was there and in working order. (this was about a week ago). Now, CHKDSK will not run properly. It tells me: D> CHKDSK Volume label ... created ... probable non-DOS disk. continue (Y/N)? The first time I saw this error, my jaw dropped in my lap (hasn't been the same ever since). I of course said "N" because I have no idea what 3.2 will do to my data. OK netters. What do you recommend? I really like the new stuff that 3.2 will do for me, but if i'm going to have major problems with it, i'll go back to 3.1--at least it never buggered me like 3.2 seems to have. Thanks for replys and as before, flames can go to circular file [-) -- <--> Mike Godawski <--> USMail : 1907A Wheat Street; Columbia SC 29205 <--> BITNET : T170139 @ UNIVSCVM <--> ncr-sd!ncrcae-\ <--> E-mail : akgua-->!usceast!godawski <--> ihnp4-/
