The board: Multibus-I ST506 disk controller. Board has no manufacturer's marking. Board has a large black puck labelled 9056-Rev05. Board also has an 8748 labelled 103973C with a sticker. The board itself has P/N 103976 on the front and 103977 on the back. I have an S-100 board using the same puck for which I also have a manual. The manual is MSC-9391 DISK CONTROLLER PRODUCT SPECIFICATION MSC104021 REV 00 Inside it states "The Disk Controller is based upon the MSC-9056 module..." The company name on the manual is "microcomputer systems corporation" and gives a Sunnyvale address on Lakeside Drive. They no longer exist at that address. Thus I know how to talk to the puck. I've disassembled the code in the 8748 and found routines that issue each of the known puck functions. What I don't have is something that describes the interface between the 8748 and the Multibus. Someone out there in this big, wide world must have such a manual. This posting is an attempt to find it. Sound familiar to anyone? Please let me know if it does.
