I'd sent New-Tek $10 (I think) in January after getting a call from them that said (roughly) "the new version, as well as Digi-Paint, will be shipping in about 3 weeks". Since then, New-Tek has done a nearly complete rewrite of Digi-View (and is still working on Digi-Paint). Tim Jennisen of New-Tek told me this new version is alot better than the Beta level new version(s) that have been demo'd to various user groups, trade-shows, and the like (which have been very impressive ... even 8 and 16 color images look almost as good as HAM, due to some great dithering/etc. algorithms)! Can't wait to get home and try the new stuff out! Hopefully, I'll get another early morning surprise from UPS in a couple of weeks when Digi- Paint arrives. BTW, I've heard of a product called "Prism" that is supposed to be a HAM editor/paint-program, but haven't seen it or heard anything about it's capabilities. Anybody know anything on it? How does it compare with Digi-Paint beta's? /kim -- UUCP: kim@amdahl.amdahl.com or: {sun,decwrl,hplabs,pyramid,ihnp4,seismo,oliveb,cbosgd}!amdahl!kim DDD: 408-746-8462 USPS: Amdahl Corp.
