Lines: 24 Keywords: Ethernet, file transfer Our laboratory currently has a PDP 11/34 running RT-11, a PDP 11/40 runnig TSX+, an LSI 11/23 running RT-ll and a Microvax II running MicroVMS. I would like to transfer files from the PDP's and LSI to the MVII. I considering an ethernet connection, but I know very little about it. From what I can gather from the DEC options literature, it appears as though you must be running a multiuser operating system that supports ethernet connections such as RSX and RSTS on PDP's. Can I connect one of the DHV11 lines from the MVII to a DL11 on the PDP's? If so, what software would I need to transfer the files (mostly word processing and source code files - no binary files)? Please mail me any helpful information you might have regarding this. Thanks in advance. -- Doug Heatherly 1-919-684-3032 Box 3870 DUMC dgh@dukempd.uucp Durham, N.C. 27710 mcnc!duke!dukempd!dgh
