Summary: Basically the same, but smaller format I have both the HP 7475 and 7440 plotters. They give pretty much identical results except the 7440 uses smaller paper formats. There are liquid ink drafting pens available for the 7475 and larger plotters that are better for producing mylar plots for printed-circuit artwork. These do not fit the 7440, but then the 7440 paper format is too small for most of these drawings anyway. If the smaller sized paper fits your needs, the extra two pens come in handy for producing office style graphics on the 7440. BTW, I had a two pen version of the 7440 earlier (7490? perhaps). It continues to work well in another laboratory. ----------------- | ___ ________ | | | / / | | Barry L.
