The above number is >the FREE 800 support hotline. I think the above may be an error. The LDS Church's genealogical department's telephone number is (801)531-2584 -- 801 being the area code for Utah. This is *not* a toll-free number (unless you live in Salt Lake City). >here's the catalog number and address for ordering. > >Catalog Number PBGS1019 > >The Church of the Latter-Day Saints >Salt Lake City Distribution Center >1999 West 1700 South >Salt Lake City, UT 84104 > The current catalog number for the MS-DOS version is PBGS1176. It's also available in Apple II and Kaypro CP/M versions. You don't need "The Church of the Latter-Day Saints" in the address; in any case, it's "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". Rather than just send in your order, I would urge you to call the Genealogical Department first. Although the base price of the soft- ware is $35, orders in several states (including California) require state/local sales tax too. Check first to see if this applies to you. Also, here's some additional info. The minimum hardware/software requirements for the MS-DOS version of PAF 2.0 are as follows: ==> 2 floppy drives (or, I assume, 1 floppy and a hard disk). ==> 256K RAM. ==> DOS 2.0 or later. ==> A printer that can print in "compressed" (17 chars/inch) mode (for doing reports on 8-1/2 x 11 paper). If you have a wide-carriage printer (14 x 8-1/2 paper), you can use 12 chars/inch. -- Rich Wales // UCLA Computer Science Department // +1 213-825-5683 3531 Boelter Hall // Los Angeles, California 90024-1600 // USA wales@CS.UCLA.EDU ...!(ucbvax,sdcrdcf,ihnp4)!ucla-cs!wales "Sir, there is a multilegged creature crawling on your shoulder."
