I always use Epsilon from Lugaru Software, 412-421-5911. I have no idea how big a file it can edit because my hard disk always fills up first. A megabyte is no problem. I've also used it to patch a 600K binary file. It's the fastest PC editor I've ever used, and doesn't slow down too badly as the file gets big. It has lots of features and options, and an extension language that looks just like C, but unlike some overfeatureful editors, the authors paid a lot of attention to getting the basic editing right. -- John R.
