Not just the CDOS (like other variant DOSes, no go at all); I mean even with RSDOS plugged in the 1st socket, the DISTO turns on the drive motors every time you access graphics or the new text or graphic commands in BASIC. It messes up LYRA (like no disk read/writes possible and constant motor on). OS9 also gets constant motor on. (Hint: LYRA's latest version boots just like OS9). I've heard of new CDOS ROMs that will run on Coco 3, but how can they fix a bug in the controller itself? And even so, we'd still have to patch OS9 and LYRA and ... Any ideas? I like their stuff, but tell my Coco 3 that! PS: A friend got a new crystal from DISTO that pretty well fixed their 80-column card problem, whereby the top line is mostly off the screen. He had to call and ask for it. -- Mike J Knudsen ...ihnp4!ihwpt!knudsen Bell Labs(AT&T) >>>DRUGS are for WIMPS who can't handle SCIENCE FICTION<<<
