There is a package in the Public Domain called 'uuslave' that allows
you to act as a passive UUCP site. The latest version just came out a
week or so ago in net.sources, and a couple of folks are working on
porting it to OS9 (albeit at a *very* relaxed pace). Also, the
downside of that is that you probably should have a dedicated phone
line, and a reasonable amount of storage.

Re: another way onto the NET. I know that folks without access to a
Unix system have been able to get on by 'subscribing' to CHINET in
Chicago. As I understand it, this is a public access unix/xenix system
run by Randy Seuss (sp?). The last I heard there was a $50/year charge
(plus of course phone connect charges).
