I did it, IT WORKS! You must cut 3 traces and solder 3 wires, to gate SCS- with the E clock. (the old Cocs already gated like this; did the Coco 3 bypass it?) The fix is such that the PC board could easily have been revised to include it, which I suspect DISTO did on later versions, which explains the responses I got from folks claiming that theirs worked just fine.
