The modem is made by Touchbase Systems and is called the 1200 World link. I bought the modem for my Trs Model 200 laptop but I have also found that it works quite well with my Mac+ and I just "LOVE IT!!" The modem weighs less than 6 oz. and is smaller than a small pack of cigarettes!!! It runs off of a 9 volt battery. The battery operation is quite efficent since the modem automatically shuts itself off if it is not being used for a minute. It also fires up automatically when you start your telecom software. I have used it extensively for over 4 weeks now and I haven't changed the battery! Although the modem plugs right into any standard RS232 computer port, a 8 or 9 pin adapter cable was easy to make so that it can now work with my Mac+. The thing that I like so much is that it is so SMALL and LIGHT that it has become a minimal but powerful addition to my Mac and laptop systems yet it adds almost no weight or bulkiness when I have to carry these systems around. If you would like a "micro size" 300/ 1200 baud Hayes compatable modem for less than $199 then I would definitely suggest you look at this product!! I really enjoy it.
