Message-ID: <950@ark.cs.vu.nl> Date: Sun, 29-Mar-87 19:51:57 EST Article-I.D.: ark.950 Posted: Sun Mar 29 19:51:57 1987 Date-Received: Tue, 31-Mar-87 04:22:12 EST Organization: V.U. Informatica, Amsterdam, the Netherlands Lines: 12 Keywords: harddisk, ship I recently bought a Macintosh SE with internal harddisk, after waiting too long for usable wordprocessors for the Atari ST (still very much vaporware). The machine works like a (wet?) dream and I process words like I never processed words before :) The machine is very easy to use, for the Finder resembles Gem a lot ;-) But I have a question concerning the harddisk: when I want to move the machine, do I need some sort of SHIP program to park the drive-heads on a least-destructive spot? Or do they lock into place automatically when I use the new 'shutdown' option in the latest Finder? Paul Molenaar
