There was one CDEV (ControlPanel module), called 'Sound' that allowed one to set the System Beep to different types of sound (Monkey, Clapping, etc. don't remember exactly -- it seemed like digitized sounds). Very nice. When I got my new System a few days later, there was no such thing. Last week I got my new Mac SE (great machine! Especially the internal SCSI is *very* fast) and unfortunately there was again no such thing as a Sound CDEV. I could swear I did see it on both the II and the SE at AppleWorld. Needless to say I loved it. I know there are PD programs that allow you to do the same thing, but doesn't it make much more sense to be able to set this from the ControlPanel? If anyone knows more about this CDEV, please let me know -- I'd love to have a copy of it.
