It has previously been put together with pagemaker on a mac, but that private machine is no longer available. For hardware the PC-clones are readily available to many potential contributers, so what I would like is a suggestion for an appropriate package for putting together a 40-page journal, starting from plain acsii un-marked-up text files. Ideally I want to work in a two-column format, and need to be able to set space to paste in photographs, and drawings (hand, rather than machine generated). This is NOT a request for PD or Shareware software, (although that would be nice), and at the other limit, I don't think the club is prepared to exceed #1,000 for software, I will happily accept flyers from any commercial distributor of appropriate software.
