PC-TeX is aborting when processing one of my documents,
the end of the .log file is as follows:

! This can't happen (paragraph)
l.194

I'm broken.  Please show this to someone who can fix can fix

Output written on ...<etc.>

Line 194 is the blank line after a short and seemingly innocuous paragraph.
Commenting out nearby text just changes the line at which PC-TeX breaks.

PLEASE can anyone suggest a way round the problem?
Or just tell me the circumstances in which ``This can't happen'' can happen.
This is urgent as the document must be printed to meet an imminent deadline.
