This question keeps coming up over and over again. You can ftp generic TeX sources (in WEB) from score.stanford.edu, but you will spend unnecessary time trying to bring up TeX on your favourite system. Instead, you should get in touch with one of the distributors of OS specific versions. See a recent issue of TUGBOAT for addresses. Besides the program, you need the fonts and device drivers. The Unix TeX tape is 35Mb in size. You can also ask somebody who has a distribution to make you a copy. A mailing list for TeX exists. Mail texhax-request@score.stanford.edu to join. Ken
