Here's your chance to send business to your favorite
Fortran compiler company .....

I'm looking for a Unix Fortran compiler - it would be best
if it ran on Suns. Some requirements:

  - it must support many of the VAX Fortran extensions
  - it must be Fortran 77 or compatible
  - it should have very good optimizations
  - the vendor company should be reputable and established
  - it should not cost too much.

Do you have a favorite? Please send the company name and
an address or phone number so that I can contact them.

Also, if you have good reasons for strongly disliking a
particular Fortran compiler, I'd like to hear those too.

Please respond directly to me - I'm not on the mailing list,
and I don't think the masses want to read all the answers.
I'll summarize and post them later.
