My system doesn't, and I've ended up putting pointer's in user's .login and .profile files to do the checking. At least the csh tells me when new mail arrives. 2) When I'm reading mail, and want to save it to a 'folder', I type 's folder_name'. Works fine if 'folder_name' already exists. But if it's a new file, it gets created with 'root' ownership. I end up 'su-ing' to the root account in order to change the file ownerships back to normal. Any suggestions?
