The monthly magazine "Personal Publishing" has some ads for places - 
I don't know if these are any good:

Apparently, these places use Allied Linotron 300 Lasersetters with 
2540 dpi, Postscript input, and various other things depending on the
shop, such as modem download or compatability with various systems.
You might give Allied Linotype a call and find out who their
customers in Boston are;  there are Postscript shops in Portland, 
so they should be all over.
