The gotcha is...the disk in question is the SYSTEM/USER disk of a microvax. Our perceived need is having an image that will fault its entire process into memory, essentially a standalone environment, crosshatch the disk with a specified pattern a specified number of times, and then zero, or clear itself from memory. So, for my first time I'm testing the 'waters' of the net by asking if something this exotic already exists before we venture into development.
