On the Macintosh side, there is a serial version and an appletalk version (the appletalk version relies on a byte stream protocol that was defined at Dartmouth -- to my knowledge, Apple still hasn't released their byte stream protocol). On the mainframe side is a PL/1 library (for our Honeywell machine) and a C library (for our Unix machines). A report and the software are distributed as technical reports from the Mathematics & CS Department at Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH 03755, USA). A revision of the report was published in Proceedings, 1986 ACM SigSmall/PC Symposium on Small Systems (I can send copies of the article if you want one.) -Mark
