Under System V UNIX, a companion to 'cu' exists.  It is called 'ct', for
"call terminal".  It *may* need HoneyDanBer uucp (ala Systems, Dialers,
Devices etc. files instead of L_Sys, etc.) for dialer information.  If
you can strike up a uucp or cu connection, ct also works.  I have used
it with 'at' jobs for convenience at times.
