We have been informed that the chilled water shutdown has been
postponed.

Here is the corrected announcement:

     We have just been notified by MIT Physical Plant that the chilled
water supply to the EECS ECF Computer Room will be shut down for major
valve repairs from early Thursday morning until midday.  This means
that EDDIE.MIT.EDU must be shut down.

    The nominal shutdown period is from 4am until 2pm on Thursday
April 9.  The computers will probably be shut down late the night
before or early in the morning, depending on Staff availability.
The computers will be restarted and (assuming no problems) available
for use within an hour or so after the cooling is restored.
