The only need for a .signature (in my humble opinion) is to identify yourself in case somebody saves the article w/o the headers and a month later wants to reply or something. Your real name, organization and return address are usually specified in the header. What other information does anyone need? Your title? That's not usually not necessary; if it ever is, you can put it in the article body. Different people will have different requirements, but all should fit within four lines quite easily.
